How Re:Collective Began
“Re:Collective grew out of my love for handmade pieces and my long-time obsession with button-down tops. For years, I searched for styles that suited my proportions — something that fit well across the shoulders but didn’t cling at the waist or hips. Too often, I’d buy a top online, only to realise it looked right on the hanger but not on me.
At first, I donated those unworn pieces or sent them for simple alterations, though the fit never felt quite right. That’s when the idea of reworking came — not just altering, but reshaping a garment entirely into something new.
What began as a personal solution soon became a bigger vision: to reimagine preloved apparel into boxy silhouettes that feel good to wear, while keeping fashion circular and sustainable. Every Re:Collective piece carries that story — of finding, reshaping, and reloving clothing in a way that feels truly your own.”
