Back to Writing... and Crafting!

It’s been a while since I’ve written, and it feels good to start again. I’ve always loved writing, whether it's jotting down random thoughts or creating something more substantial. There's something magical about putting words together, it helps organise my mind and brings clarity, especially when it comes to my passion for crafting.

Recently, I took some time to reorganise my craft supplies, and let me tell you – it was a bit of a shock! I’ve accumulated quite a collection over the years, and it hit me - it’s time to stop hoarding and start creating.

If you’ve ever met a serial crafter like me, you’d know one thing: we’re great at starting new projects, but often not as great at finishing them. We jump from one craft to another, constantly falling in love with something new, all while telling ourselves that we’ll “get back to that one” later. But, let's be honest, that "later" never seems to come.

For example, I remember making clay necklaces in 2016. I loved it then and even returned to it for personal gifts through the years. Fast forward to today, and I still have all the clay and tools I bought for those projects. And what did I tell myself? "I’ll get back to it." But then, I looked up and realised it’s 2025. How did that happen?

It’s crazy how time flies, especially when you're stuck in a creative rut. The creative mess piles up, and with each day, finding the time and mental space to craft becomes harder. It’s not just about the materials or ideas, it’s about making the time to dive into it without feeling overwhelmed. The struggle is real.

But I’m determined to change that. I’m going to commit to finishing what I’ve started and embrace the creative chaos. After all, every little piece created, no matter when, tells a story. And sometimes, it’s about more than just the craft itself. It’s the journey, the process, and the love that goes into it.

So, here’s to getting back to the things we love, starting with some lasercut and knitted necklaces that have been waiting patiently to be perfected. Stay tuned, and let’s see what comes of it this time!
